Eucerin Aquaphor Ointment Body Spray
This cooling-spray immediately soothes and relieves dry to very dry. I love applying it on my body during winter to keep it hydrated and also on my face to complete my skincare routine and lock moisture on recovery nights.
SkinCeuticals
SkinCeuticals has an array of products suitable for sensitive skin, which means they won’t irritate your skin. And you can easily find products that will suit your sensitive skin by searching on their website by skin concern: sensitive & redness prone skin.
Although their products are not all formulated for sensitive skin, I have used a few of them and have seen great results, with no sensitivity to any of the products I’ve tried so far.
C E Ferulic vitamin C antioxidant serum for visible signs of ageing
This is a daytime antioxidant serum that improves signs of aging and photodamage; helping reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and the loss of firmness, while brightening skin’s complexion.
It’s my go-to vitamin C serum; it has a high price tag however it’s worth every penny and suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin.
Ultra Facial Defense SPF 50+ Facial Sunscreen
With a lightweight formula, this sunscreen protects skin from UVA and UVB ray, leaving the skin moisturised but not sticky. Another SkinCeuticals product I can’t live without, nothing works better under makeup than this sunscreen.
Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2
This anti-aging face cream is one of the best in the market; its nourishing formula makes it a great option for someone with dry skin who is also concerned about their fine lines and wrinkles.
I found this product very efficient in reducing fine lines, restoring smoothness, protecting and hydrating my skin.
Antioxidant lip repair – it’s a lip treatment with antioxidants that help restore damaged lips surface; Since wearing it for the first time I’ve noticed a huge difference on my lips, they don’t get dry as much as they used to, and lips feel soft and shielded, without feeling sticky. Apply it every night before bed and after brushing your teeth.
I could name a few other SkinCeuticals products but I recommend you to take a look at their product range and see what products best suit your skin concerns. And if you have any questions you want to ask me, DM me on Instagram.
Murad
Murad was the first skincare brand I fell in love with; when I was in my late 20s it helped me deal with acne and bring health back to my skin.
The brand was created by a dermatologist and pharmacist named Dr. Howard Murad in 1989, making it one of the first skin-care lines founded by a doctor; What I love about it is that it carries a product range for every concern, and they’ve been doing that for years, always carrying about people.
I have tried many of Murad’s products throughout my adulthood and love them all, but I do have some favourites which are gentle to my skin, whilst being effective in addressing skin concerns, including blemishes, acne, dark spots, fine lines and so forth.
Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum
Having very sensitive skin around the eye area I’m always concerned about trying new eye-creams, so when I first came across this cream I tried it with much caution and to my surprise it was very gentle to the thin skin around my eyes.
It gives the eye area a beautiful glow, at the same time as nourishment and, a little goes a long way.
Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum
This serum packed full with vitamin C and glycolic acid is a powerful antioxidant that helps prevent visible skin damage like hyperpigmentation, dullness and uneven tone, by removing dead cells, revealing a more radiant skin. Gladly, it’s suitable for sensitive skin so you don’t need to worry about skin irritation.
Essential-C cleanser
This face cleanser is ideal for someone who has oily or acne prone skin but even if you have dry skin it’ll be gentle on your skin. I used it in my late 20s and wear it in my 40s and still does wonders to my skin.
I also want to mention that Murad also makes it easy for us to shop by skin concern on their website and points out products that will be safe for those with sensitive skin. It is a skincare brand that I trust fully because their products are incredible and deal efficiently with skin concerns.
My one piece of advice with any skincare products, is to do a test, and avoid mixing too many active ingredients. And when it comes to retinols, if you have sensitive skin, start slow.
